FOOD & DRINK IN TULUM

This place had an amazing drip coffee and a great cold brew as well.  We came here several mornings for our caffeine kick.

We came here for a nice 5PM cocktail one night and loved swinging while enjoying our pina coladas.  The beach here is lovely, the drinks are tasty, and they have a conch shell shower on the beach.  What more do you need?

Grab drinks at Papaya Playa Project and enjoy the open air stadium seating overlooking the sea, while listening to a live DJ. Full Moon Party at Papaya Playa Project! Unfortunately I wasn't there for a full moon, but i've heard it's the most fun even in Tulum with the party going until 6 AM.  If you can, I would definitely check it out. Seriously these are the best tacos i’ve ever had. Ever!  They make everything fresh daily including the slow roasted pork and the tasty tortillas. Read my full post about them here. 

We enjoyed delicious cocktails in the bohemian atmosphere at Casa Jaguar. This open air bar has lots of seating on their front patio and has a great vibe. This is a great place to stop before or after dinner.

Gitano is an open air restaurant with delicious food and stunning decor including tons of fresh floral arrangements. We went here our first night and really loved the ambiance and the decor. The food is yummy and the crowd is swanky, however it’s a bit pricey so you might want to save it for a special night out.

This restaurant was opened by two guys from New York, and bookings are required a few weeks in advance.  This place has delicious food and is definitely worth booking in advance.

This little gem serves up a wonderful pizza and offers a great ambiance.  We enjoyed grabbing a bite here along with a glass of wine.

Ziggy’s is all about the beachfront dining, so be sure to get here before sunset to enjoy the view of the gorgeous beachfront and water.

If you love a good dicey-bar, you will love it here.  This bar features live music, three levels of open air balconies, and ping-pong tables. Don't go here for the quality of your cocktail, go here for the fun atmosphere. Mateo's also features a street taco cart that offers delicious late night tacos after a night on the town.
