Waiheke IslandList Item 1
Waiheke Island is a stunning Island in New Zealand, located only 40 minutes by boat from Auckland in the northern island of NZ. Waiheke Island is covered with vineyards, beaches and more. Read more about Waiheke Island here. This is something that would take up an entire day at the minimum, however we enjoyed Waiheke a lot so I think it’s worth taking the time for this trip.

Sky TowerList Item 2
This building is definitely the most iconic building in all of Auckland, so definitely get up close and check it out. You can go up to the top, however we found ti to be a bit too pricey for what it was.

Piha Beach
This stunning beach is located only an hour from Auckland and is very popular amongst landscape photographers as it’s a very unique and beautiful landscape. Lion Rock sits on this beach which looks like a large sitting lion. It’s something you must see while visiting Auckland.

Waitemata Harbour
This lovely harbour is also referred to as the Auckland Harbour, and is the main access to Auckland by sea. There’s a few great cafes on the water here and some unique restaurants.

This is a gorgeous park and is definitely worth checking out if you are wondering around Auckland.

Karekare
This beach is located a short distance from Piha Beach, so it’s worth checking either on your way from Piha back to Auckland. This beach is so large that we had to walk about ten minutes in the sand before we could see the water! There is also a gorgeous waterfall located here that you can walk to.
